The guest apartment is run by Gunnarsstofnun and is in Gunnarshús at Skriðuklaustr, in the heart of Fljótsdalur, about 40 km from Egilsstaðir.
The guest apartment is for domestic and foreign artists and academics. It is a two-room apartment with a bedroom, a living room with work facilities, a kitchen and a bathroom on the upper floor of Gunnarshús. Internet access and various other facilities are available.
The average length of stay is 3-4 weeks. The application deadline for the apartment is June 15 for the following calendar year. The Gunnarsstofnun board assigns the apartment at the autumn meeting in September.
