The journey west and stories of those who left is a interesting exhibition at Vesturfarmiðstöð Austurlands. The exhibition is open daily at 12-18 from 1 June – 31 August , but guidance is offered Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays or by an agreement.

Vesturfaramiðstöð Austurlands is located in Vopnafjörður in a old house called Kaupvangur.
