Kennsla og fræðsluefni frá Ragnheiði Björk, afnot af vefstól og aðgangur að Baðstofu, vefjarefni innifalið í prufustykki samkvæmt verkefnum vinnustofunnar. Hádegisverður alla dagana ásamt kaffi og te.

Opin vinnustofa með Ragnheiði Björk vefnaðarsérfræðingi á Baðstofu skólans. Ragnheiður Björk mun kenna grundvallaratriði í bindifræði, uppsetningu á vef í vefstól og hvernig lesið er úr vefnaðar uppskriftum. Þátttakendur fá að taka þátt í öllu ferlinu við uppsetningu á vef í vefstól; að rekja slöngu, rifja í vefstól, þræða í haföld og skeið og binda upp í vefstól auk þess að vefa mismunandi verkefni m.a. gólfmottu, töskuvefnað, borðdregil og fleira eftir því sem tíminn leyfir. Farið verður yfir helstu vefnaðaraðferðir; einskeftu, vaðmál, ormeldúk og samsettar bindinga. Einnig verður farið í útreikninga fyrir vefnað og mismunandi grófleika á garni sem notað er í uppistöðu og ívaf.

Lessons and educational material from Ragnheiði Björk, use of a loom and access to the Bath, weaving material included in a test piece according to the workshop’s projects. Lunch every day with coffee and tea

Open workshop with weaving expert Ragnheiði Björk in the school’s bathroom. Ragnheiður Björk will teach the basics of tying, setting up a web in a loom and how to read weaving recipes. Participants get to participate in the entire process of setting up a website in a web chair; tracing a hose, tearing in a loom, threading into a loom and a spoon and tying up in a loom as well as weaving different projects, e.g. rug, bag weaving, tablecloth and more as time permits. Basic weaving techniques will be covered; single shaft, wadding, worm cloth and composite bindings. Calculations will also be made for weaving and different roughness of the yarn used in weft and weft.

Teaching takes place in both Icelandic and English.
