Manndýr – Þátttökuverk fyrir börn og fullorðna

Manndýr er nýtt barna- og þátttökuverk eftir Aude Busson sem frumsýnt var 13. mars 2022 í Tjarnarbíó.
Verkið skoðar hlutverk manneskjunnar í heiminum með augum barna, en verkið og hljóðmynd þess er að miklu leyti byggt á viðtölum Aude við börn.
– Þegar maður hugsar út í það, þá er maður bara til af því að maður er til…
– Eða til, til að gefa dýrunum?
– Til… til að fjölga ormunum?
– Eða erum við til fyrir heiminn?
– En aftur á móti, þá endist jörðin ekki að eilífu, þannig að ef maður hugsar úti það, þá getur maður ekki bara haldið áfram að fæðast, fæðast og fæðast…
Af hverju er maðurinn til? Af hverju er barn til? Hvað gera þau og til hvers? Þessum spurningum velta börnin í Manndýr fyrir sér. Svör þeirra og vangaveltur eru einlæg, djúp, alvarleg og oft á tíðum sprenghlægileg.
Manndýr er á mörkum þess að vera leikverk og innsetning. Í rýminu er manndýr, sem Aude leikur, í tilvistarkreppu að reyna að púsla sögu sinni saman á ný og skilja tilgang sinn í heiminum. Á milli leikrænna atriða eru börn jafnt sem fullorðnir hvattir til að taka þátt og leika saman. Gestum er boðið inn í heim þar sem hægt er að upplifa með eyrum, augum og höndum, sjálf eða í samvinnu. Við gefum okkur tíma til að spyrja spurninga sem fá svör eru við og dvelja í heimi þar sem börn segja alla söguna.
Aude Busson er sviðslistarkona sem hefur áhuga á að skapa sýningar og viðburði sem byggja á þátttöku áhorfenda og þá sérstaklega með samvinnu barna og fullorðinna. Síðasta verk hennar “Ég elska Reykjavík” var fjölskyldugöngsýning og var tilnefnd til Grímuverðlauna. Sigríður Sunna Reynisdóttir er sviðshöfundur og hönnuður. Hún hefur unnið leikmyndir, búninga og leikbrúður fyrir fjölda sýninga í Þjóðleikhúsinu, Borgarleikhúsinu, í Tjarnarbíó og víðar síðustu ár, auk þess að framleiða eigin sviðsverk.
Björn Kristjánsson eða Borko er tónlistarmaður og grunnskólakennari. Hann hefur unnið bæði í leikhúsi og í tónlistarheiminum í tæp 20 ár og leitt fjölda tónlistarverkefna með börnum.

MANNDÝR is a participatory performance that questions Man’s role from the point of view of children.
“A child is here to support the world, to have new ideas, new projects that no one has had, ideas that do not come from before but come from now for later.”
Excerpts from the soundtrack made with students from Rennes at the Théatre National de Bretagne.
Why does man exist? Why does a child exist? What are they doing and why?
The show’s soundtrack is made up of children’s reflections on these questions and is available in Icelandic and French. Recordings were made in collaboration with students from primary schools in Iceland and France with the help of the Théâtre National de Bretagne.
Manndýr is on the border between theatrical performance and participatory installation. On stage, Aude Busson follows the voices of children and traces a story and a reflection on man and his relationship to the world.
In Manndýr, viewers are invited into a world to explore with all the senses, alone or in a group. While taking the time to ask unanswered questions and live in a world where children tell the whole story.Link to the show trailer.
Manndýr has been shown already around 30 times in theaters and schools in Iceland.
THE TEAM
Aude Busson is an artist who is interested in the creation of shows and events based on the participation of the public and especially with the collaboration of children and adults. Her latest personal project I love Reykjavík was a family walk and was nominated for the Icelandic Theater Best Young Audience Show award.

Sigríður Sunna Reynisdóttir is a set designer. She has worked on sets, costumes and puppets for numerous performances at the National Theater of Iceland, Reykjavik City Theater, Tjarnarbíó and elsewhere in recent years, in addition to producing her own stage installations.

Björn Kristjánsson or Borko is a musician and teacher. He has worked in both theater and music for almost 20 years and has led many musical projects with children. He is notably a member of the groups: Rúnk, Skakkamanage and FM Belfast and today pursues a solo career under the name of Borko. Spotify link
